Song For Food ® was a timely, innovative music project born out of a desire to help raise funds and awareness for our food banks which are struggling to keep up with the growing demand for help as a result of the current economic crisis. The vision was to offer great new music for year-round enjoyment, along with some "food for thought." It was also an avenue to introduce and support talented emerging artists who share a desire to be of service to their communities.

Dec '10 Sacramento Food Bank Special Fund Drive
A big thank you to all of you who purchased our album and supported our spontaneous pledge drive in response to our appearance at the California State Capitol Tree Lighting Ceremony through special invitation by First Lady Mariah Shriver. Our brief appearance managed to raise and donate $1200 to the Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services. According to the food bank's current dollar leveraging ability, this figure translates to 3895 meals!! ...or the equivalent of 3 meals a day for four days for 81 families of four people! |
